Providing Exceptional Service
Established in 1995, ALPS stands as a stalwart in the realm of developmental disability services. The array of services offered includes Waiver, HPC (Home and Community-Based Services), supported living, and money management. ALPS primarily caters to clients from the Ohio County Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), forming the core of their revenue sources.
SERVICES
Waivers are one way to pay for services that support someone with developmental disabilities living on their own, with family, with a roommate, or with a provider through Ohio Shared Living. The department administers three different waivers: the Individual Options Waiver, the Level One Waiver, and Self-Empowered Life Funding Waiver.
WAIVER SERVICES
Person-centered services available through a home and community-based services waiver can help meet a person's needs. All waiver services provided to a person must be medically necessary. For all services, a person with developmental disabilities and their team will use the free choice of provider process to select a direct support professional.
PERSON-CENTERED SERVICES
Compliance conducts regulatory reviews of county boards, licensed facilities, and waiver providers. This includes oversight of reviews conducted by CBs and COGs. There are routine reviews which are conducted once during each certification period or term of accreditation or licensure. Special reviews are conducted in response to concerns related to health and welfare that are received through complaints or major unusual incidents.
